To provide the best care and give every patient equal time for appointments, we’ve created the following appointment guidelines
Long appointments of 40 minutes or more are always scheduled in the morning. These longer appointments are usually necessary during treatment start-up, as treatment phases change, or when a new stage of treatment begins.
Routine (shorter) appointments alternate between morning and afternoon hours and are generally scheduled every eight to ten weeks while you’re in braces and every twelve to sixteen weeks during the retention phase. We’ll try to schedule these during lunch, study hall, etc.
Emergency appointments are scheduled both in the morning and afternoon. Please call as soon as you realize there is a problem so we and may assess the situation and schedule an extra appointment if necessary. Don’t wait for your next appointment. This could result in loss of treatment time.
Broken appointments will happen in the case of emergencies. We understand this, but in return, please understand that your appointments have been planned to keep your treatment on a set schedule. If you miss appointments, you will be extending you treatment time in braces. Please give us 24 to 48 hours’ notice if you know you’re not going to be able to keep your appointment. This will allow us to reschedule your appointment and give your canceled appointment to another patient. Failure to cancel within 24 to 48 hours is considered a broken appointment, which could result in an additional charge.
