Many of today’s braces are far less noticeable then those of the past, such as Invisalign®. With these new developments in orthodontic appliances, our patients are smiling more confidently throughout treatment. We offer “clear”, colored and gold braces, as well as Invisalign® and Damon 3.

Over the years there have not been a lot of new innovations in brace technology that has made me very excited. However, that has all changed. Recently, our office has switched to a new type of brace called the Damon 3 bracket. We are proud to say we are the only office in Rochester exclusively using this system for our patients. This bracket is unbelievable. It has all the benefits we could ask for and finally it is here.
What so great about this brace? Well I am glad you asked. It is not just a new style brace it’s actually a whole new way of treating patients. Conventional braces and treatment often requires removal of healthy teeth and/or the use of palatal expanders to make space. This approach is often uncomfortable, takes longer, and can leave a flatter profile. The Damon 3 brackets create smiles that are full and natural and achieve these with light biologically sensible forces. These braces are specifically designed to improve the overall facial result of every patient.
The Damon 3 System combines 3 components, which when used together, deliver faster treatment, fewer appointments, greater comfort, and consistent high-quality results. Conventional braces use elastic ties, which cause friction and pressure, making treatment slower and less comfortable. The Damon 3 bracket uses a sliding mechanism to hold the wire, which allows the teeth to move more freely, quickly, and comfortably. Also, by eliminating the elastic ties, which attract plaque, the Damon 3 brackets are easier to clean making hygiene easier during treatment.
The Damon 3 System also uses space age light wire technology allowing us to move teeth faster with lighter forces. This makes treatment more comfortable and also allows for fewer appointments.
